About Towncrier

Towncrier explains where AI is today, in plain words.

Every story answers one question: what changed, and does it matter to you? We skip the hype and the jargon. When a number or a claim could look vague, we explain it in a few simple words, and when a company is only claiming something, we say so.

Each story shows the facts it rests on, with links to where they came from, so you can check for yourself. Some stories are short briefs that point you to the original, and say so; others include our take, which is opinion and is marked that way.

Towncrier is edited by Ayobi, who approves every story before it goes up.

Stories that Ayobi chooses to highlight carry an “Ayobi’s pick” label. You can also find Towncrier as short daily videos and in a newsletter twice a week.
