Facebook adds a tool to choose which topics show up in your feed
Meta's new "Your Algorithm" tool lets Facebook users pick topics for their feed and Reels, and Meta says changes show up right away.
The Verge reports that Meta's new tool lets you add and manage topics yourself. Meta says your recommendations "respond right away" when you mark a topic "interested" or "not interested."
You can also find these buttons in the three dots menu on any post. They may show up under posts too. Meta says it may ask follow-up questions. You can describe in your own words what you want to see more or less of.
Meta also says it is using more AI that understands everyday language to rank posts. Ranking means deciding what to show you first. Meta says this lets you "talk to" your feed. It has also launched a similar tool, "Dear Algo," on Threads.
